Overview:

After Covid, many employees realized that they could do much of their work from anywhere, not being stuck in the old punching a timecard mentality.

At first, many organizations saw that they could attract competent people by having flexible work arrangement, but at the same time we could see that other companies forced their employees back to the office where they could easier monitor them. Some managers are stuck in an 19 century industrial mindset. We have also seen an abdicating leadership style where anything goes, and no real feedback is provided. Finally, we have seen failure after failure in how to lead hybrid meetings. These management styles both creates tension, disengagement, and an unhappy workplace. Not good at all.

But managers are not all wrong either for wanting people to meet in person. Even if productivity hasn't gone down for the specific tasks per se, the risk of working in silos increases, with less collaboration outside of the immediate teams. There is something to be said about the value of "accidental social contacts"

So, what are the challenges that leaders and team face when they apply a hybrid workplace? Why are so many organizations forcing their staff back to the office while others are harnessing the potential of hiring people based on their willingness to contribute, rather than their willingness to commute?

There are lots of lessons learned from working through the pandemic and the simple struth is that employees' needs are different. Some love the office, some don't see the need to come in at all, while others want to adopt a more flexible approach.

By adopting a hybrid leadership style in a hybrid workplace, chances are that you can get the benefits from both the physical and the virtual workplace.

This webinar is based on a survey of 600 leaders and their worries around hybrid leadership. Added to that are countless articles and qualitative interviews.
