Overview: "Business as usual" is the motto for most companies; and client deadlines, end-of-month quotas and efficient workgroups are the names of the game in most companies. These perspectives change when a personal hardship enters the workplace, confusing co-workers and managers of how to maintain business as usual.

Unfortunately all employees at some time will experience a set-back creating an interruption of normal work flow that requires immediate attention. With the speed of social media and technology, disruption occurs instantly and creates an unknown for co-workers and managers resulting in potential chaos. By planning in advance, creating a compassionate environment through training and understanding management will be able to t react in a manner that will reduce anxiety and unknown setting control and direction.

This workshop will help workplaces remain productive while learning how to tackle employee personal challenges by re-addressing the employee's responsibility in a professional, sympathetic and compromising format.

Compromise will be accomplished by identifying the challenges and obstacle of both the employee and employer creating a suitable and compassionate workplace.

Why should you attend: When an employee is challenged by a personal hardship such as a death, divorce, illness, deployment, financial strain, natural or community disaster or obligated to become a caregiver for a family member their passion and commitment to the workplace requires a shift. At the same time, a company is obligated by deadlines, client needs and a sense of strong employee moral.

The intersection of needs of both parties often collides creating tension between the employee suffering the hardship, co-workers and management. It is inevitable that all employees will experience some type of set-back, including family status change, serious illness, and financial strain or children challenges while employed. Anxiety associated with these hardships can be avoided with appropriate training and communication of the personal and professional obstacles and challenges that occur. Providing the necessary tools to understand the hardship through education and procedures for team support to maintain productivity are vital to a positive outcome of the situation. Addressing the challenges and understanding the obstacles will lead to compromise professionally and personally.
