Overview: 2015 is a year where we know that the DOL is going to be more proactive than it has been in years. One of the most significant changes employers can expect from the DOL in 2015 is regulatory changes to the exemption criteria under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Federal contractors are facing additional changes - a mandated minimum wage of $10.10 per hour; new confidentiality rules regarding personnel and salary information; new guidelines addressing sex discrimination and sexual orientation. This webinar will walk you through step by step new requirements and the new proposals so that your company is prepared now!

Why should you attend: The DOL enforces a number of laws, including, the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Additionally, an arm of the DOL, the Office of Federal Contract Compliance (OFCCP) is responsible for enforcing Executive Order 11246. In response to mandates from President Obama, the OFCCP has issued regulations regarding minimum wage requirements for federal contractors and the new proposed rules regarding sex discrimination and sexual orientation discrimination. The DOL plans an overhaul existing regulations under the FLSA/FMLA that will substantially impact how you do business.
